Ridsdale Metal Products

Over the years, Ridsdale Metal Products has satisfied a variety of customers from all areas of industry. During this time we have developed into a high quality custom steel fabrication shop. Products can be made from a wide selection of material that ranges from 26 gauge to 1/4" thick.

Many of our clients have their own products that require "made to order" parts. These include industrial exhaust units, automated woodworking saws/sorters, environmental recycling systems, paper cutting machinery, furniture components, display racks, and industrial fabricating equipment. Other products fabricated at our plant include sound enclosures, tanks, conveyors, cabinets, inlet/outlet screens, mobile carts, rolled cylinders and electrical enclosures.

GUARDS
Belt guards, shaft guards and coupling guards come in various shapes and sizes. These are an example of some of the more popular styles we produce. The corners are formed with a weld or a hem depending on the type of material and thickness. They can be fabricated in carbon steel, galvanized steel (including perforated metal) aluminum or stainless steel. These guards are made for many products including air ventilation systems, pumps, compressors and industrial equipment.

SCALPER BODY
This product is used to separate tire debris in the tire recycling industry. This unit comes complete with a perforated metal basket and mounting assembly on the inside. The rounded lid is hinged at the back for easy access to the internal components. The forming of tapered chutes and transitions are also part of the production of this unit. The numerous fabrication techniques involved in making this product demonstrate the versatility and ability of our fitter welders. These units also receive a coat of primer paint and weather stripping (to seal the lid) prior to shipping.

COMPRESSOR KITS
Air compressor kits are another product fabricated at our plant. This unit consists of a tubular frame complete with door, side and top panels. The frame and panels are all mounted on a base channel that has punched holes for locating and mounting the motor and internal components. All panels have cut-outs for air ventilation and are covered with expanded metal as a safety precaution. Also included on the panels are locating holes for door handles and other accessories.

SKATE SHARPENING MACHINE
We also manufacture various models of skate sharpening equipment. Hinged door panels, sliding drawers, grinding stone guards, internal exhaust components, motor mount stands and the entire cabinet body are all fabricated at our plant. Once completed it is shipped to the customer for the installation of electrical components, hardware and a finishing coat of paint. This unit shown here clearly demonstrates the type of quality work we perform at RIDSDALE METAL PRODUCTS.

ENCLOSURES
Make-up air units (like the one shown here) and sound enclosures are some of the larger products we fabricate to customer drawings. These units have been made for the automotive sector, the food industry, schools and industrial areas all across Canada. This product is a great example of just how versatile we are, from belt guards to industrial machines up to large enclosure units, we can do it all!
